When usingrecovery mode, the platform maynot fully lower to the ground whenthe recovery mode is completed.Failure to use only suitableequipment and/or practices toallow the operator to safely exitthe platform could result in deathor serious injury.Bodily injury hazard. Platformleveling is not active when usingrecovery mode. The platformcould reach high out-of-levelconditions when using this mode.The operator will need to securethemself to the platform toprevent falling injury.The Recovery mode allows the platform to belowered in the event the operator in the platform isunable to lower the platform using the platformcontrols, system failure or emergency situations.The recovery sequence will automatically retractthe primary boom, retract the secondary boom andthen lower the primary boom using the auxiliarypower unit to allow the operator at the platformcontrols to exit the platform.1 Turn the main key switch to ground controls.Remove the key from the main key switch andinsert the key into the bypass/recovery keyswitch.Note: If this procedure is performed with the mainkey switch in the off position an active latchedsafety fault will be set and will have to be cleared.2 Turn and hold the bypass/recovery key switchto the recovery position. The switch must beheld in the recovery position.Result: The auxiliary power unit will turn onand the boom will begin the following recoverysequence.• The primary boom will retract.• The secondary boom will retract.• The primary boom will lower.Note: The key switch must be held in the recoveryposition until the recovery sequence is complete oruntil the operator in the platform can safely exit theplatform.Note: If any boom safety limit switches are faulty,the boom will only retract and not lower and theoperator will need to be recovered from that point.Note: If the event the platform becomes out of level± 15°, all functions using auxiliary power will bedisabled, PLATFORM LEVEL > 15 DEGREES willbe displayed on the ground control LCD screen,and the operator will have to be recovered using theRecovery Mode.Note: If the Recovery function has been used, thismay indicate there may be faults with the machine.Tag and remove the machine from service until thefault has been corrected by trained personnel.
