16Starting Up2.3 Prior to starting up for thefirst timeThe following work must be completedbefore starting the vehicle up for thefirst time:2.3.1 Installing the rotary brushesTwo rotary brushes must be fitted in therotary brush head. These rotary brus-hes are not part of the scope of deliverysupplied with the vehicle. Choose therotary brushes separately according tothe task to be completed (refer to Sec-tion 4). If you ordered the rotary brus-hes together with the vehicle, the rotarybrushes are normally already installedby the authorized Hako dealer prior todelivery.Check whether rotary brushesare fitted.If no rotary brushes are installed, pro-ceed as follows to install them.The following applies to allwork on the rotary brushes:Turn the key switch to position0, remove the key and applythe parking brake (Fig. 14/8).The front rotary brush ischanged from the right-handside of the vehicle, the rear ro-tary brush from the left-handside of the vehicle.Fig. 41 Deflector2 Deflector lock3 Grip1.
