45OperationWet scrubbing (basic cleaning)If you do not want to vacuum the floordry in the same working procedure be-cause you want the solution to soak intothe dirt, for example, activate this pro-gram.Wet floors are a potential riskfor slipping! Ensure to providethe corresponding informationand warning signs.• Press the “Button for rotarybrush drive” button (Fig. 15/9) on the left-hand operat-ing panel.Various functions can be switched on oroff with the following buttons accordingto the conditions at the location of use:• Reduce solution quantity (Fig. 22/1)• Increase solution quantity (Fig. 22/3)• Solution on/off (Fig. 22/2)• Increase brush pressure (Fig. 22/4)Vacuuming dry• Press the “Button forsqueegee and suction tur-bine” on the left-hand oper-ating panel.Check whether the floor is suf-ficiently dry at regular intervals,otherwise people could slip. Ifthe floor is excessively wet,check the vehicle for leaks andthat the sealing strips are in agood condition. If the sealingstrips are damaged, changethem; refer to Section 5.8.4.Vacuuming with the hand-heldsuction hoseThe hand-held suction hose is an op-tional accessory.Vacuuming with the hand-held suctionhose only works when the operator isnot seated on the driver's seat (seatcontact switch is not actuated).Always apply the parking brakebefore getting out of the vehi-cle!• Press the “Button forsqueegee and suction tur-bine” on the left-hand oper-ating panel.The squeegee remains raised.Useful tips for cleaning• Sweep the floor before starting wetcleaning. This not only improves thecleaning effect but also reduces thevehicle‘s liability to wear.• The floor should be treated twice inthe case of particularly dirty floors orto remove wax (basic cleaning).- During the first cleaning process,the floor is scrubbed with a clean-ing agent dosage appropriate to thedegree of soiling, whereby thesqueegee is raised.- Let the cleaning solution work intothe floor for 5 to 10 minutes accord-ing to the manufacturer's informa-tion.- Then scrub the floor again with thesqueegee lowered.• Observe the correct dosage of thecleaning agent.
