17Starting Up2.1.2 Refueling the engine(only Hako Hamster 800 V)Unscrew the fuel tank cap(Fig. 7/7) and fill approx. 2.5 l gasoline.Screw the fuel tank cap back on.Only refuel the machine whenthe engine has cooled down.Otherwise, any spilledgasoline can evaporate if itlands on hot machine parts.Health hazard through inhalingvapors!Refueling must not be carriedout in closed rooms.Refueling may only be carriedout when the engine isswitched off! Remove theignition key.It is forbidden to smoke or usefire when refueling or workingon or near componentscontaining fuel.Wipe up any spilled fuel!Wipe up spilled fuel with a clothand dispose of the clothaccording to the applicableenvironmental laws.2.1.3 Checking the oil level(only Hako Hamster 800 V)Engine oil is filled at the factory. As aprecaution, however, check the oil levelagain on site, refer to Section 5.4.1.2.1.4 Connecting the batteries(only Hako Hamster 800 E)Before starting up for the first time,connect the positive cable of the deviceas illustrated in Figure 5 to the positivepole (Fig. 5/1) of the batteries in thedevice.2.1.5 Initial battery charge(only Hako Hamster 800 E)Before starting up the machine for thefirst time, the batteries used must befully charged by completing the initialbattery charge, refer to Section 5.5.1.Hako assumes no liability for damage tothe battery resulting from failing to carryout the initial battery charge properly.Risk of explosion!
