104Undetermined ProblemsIf an error code is present, go to “Index of Symptoms,Messages, Error Codes, or Beeps” on page 74. If no error codeis present, continue with this check. Check the power supplyvoltages (see “Power Supply Cable Connector Specifications"on page 129). If the voltages are correct, return here andcontinue with the following steps:1. Power off the system unit.2. Perform the following checks, one by one, until you haveisolated the problem FRU (refer to "Parts/Test PointLocations" on page 122 for locations):q Load default settings in setup.q Check all system board jumper positions and switchsettings.q Check all adapter card jumper positions.q Check all device jumper positions.q Check all cables and connectors for proper installation.If the jumpers, switch, and voltage settings are correct, returnhere and continue:3. Remove or disconnect the following, one at a time:q Non-IBM devicesq External devicesq Any adaptersq Modem card, if installedq CD-ROM driveq Diskette driveq Hard disk driveq DIMMq Processorq System board4. Power on the system unit.5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 until you find the failed device oradapter.6. If software related, reload software from service partition.If the symptom changes, go to “Index of Symptoms, Messages,Error Codes, or Beeps” on page 74 or to the check procedurefor the last item tested.Replace the last item tested if the system operates normallyafter removing the last item.
