One beep and the appearance of text on the display indicates successfulcompletion of the POST. More than one beep indicates that the POST detectsan error.Error code formatThis section provides an explanation of the encoded non-SCSI and SCSI POSTerror codes.Error messages are displayed on the screen as three, four, five, eight, twelve,or thirteen digits. An X in an error message can be any number or letter. Theshorter POST errors are highlighted in the Symptom-to-FRU Index.
