11USAdjusting the picture quality(SCREEN)The SCREEN settings allow you to degauss (demagnetize) themonitor manually and adjust the picture quality by controlling themoire and landing.• If the color is not uniform or the picture is fuzzy, degauss themonitor (DEGAUSS).• If elliptical or wavy patterns appear on the screen, cancel themoire (CANCEL MOIRE).• If the color is irregular at the corners of the screen, adjust thelanding (LANDING).The monitor is automatically demagnetized (degaussed) when thepower is turned on.The screen is degaussed for a few seconds. If a second degausscycle is needed, allow a minimum interval of 20 minutes for thebest result.The CANCEL MOIRE setting is stored in memory for the currentinput signal. All other settings are stored in memory for all inputsignals.1 Press the button.The menu appears on the screen.2 Press the m/M buttons to highlight SCREEN andpress the button.The SCREEN menu appears on the screen.3 Press the m/M buttons to select the desiredadjustment item. Then press the button.The adjustment bar appears on the screen.4 Press the m/M or </, buttons to make theadjustment.* Moire is a type of natural interference which produces soft, wavy lineson your screen. It may appear due to interference between the patternof the picture on the screen and the phosphor pitch pattern of themonitor.NoteThe picture may become fuzzy when the CANCEL MOIRE function isactivated.Select ToDEGAUSSdegauss the monitor.
