There are 27current/voltage range combinations (45 for DC), but the test frequency will determine whichranges are selectable. To eliminate operator errors in range setting and ensure specifiedinstrument accuracy it is generally best to set the range for Auto. When Auto is selected theinstrument automatically selects the optimum range for the impedance being measured at theselected test voltage and frequency.Range Hold, when selected, will hold the optimum measurement range for the test conditionsprogrammed and the device being measured. The unit determines the selection on the firstmeasurement by measuring the device in Auto range mode and then holding it.Range Lock, allows the operator to select one of the fixed ranges as listed below. In either case, it is important to note that when a range is held or locked which is not the rangethat instrument’s auto ranging would of selected (for DUT impedance and programmed testconditions) some accuracy may be sacrificed or the instrument may be unable to complete a testof a particular DUT.Up or Down arrow keyto change rangeRight arrow key to programnext parameterorPROGRAM key to exit ProgramMode and return to Ready mode.1 Range Select ProgramAuto1 Range Select ProgramHold1 Range Select ProgramLock 2.6A F<=10K 62 mV1 Range Select ProgramLock 200 mA, any F 1.0V27 ranges (45 for DC)
