AM-800CL / AB-800CL- 41 -8.8. Gamma (Command: GAMS)This command is used for the fine tuning of the set gamma characteristics if the gamma isset to 0.45 or 0.6. The parameter of GAMS is 0 to 31 and the default is 16.If GAMS is 16 (default), the normal 0.45 or 0.6 gamma curve is unaffected. By changing thevalue of GAMS, the 0.45 or 0.6 gamma curve can be modified.Fig. 41 Gamma compensation8.9. Flat Field Correction (FFC) (Command: SDR)This function compensates for shading caused by the lens or the light source used. Themethod to compensate the shading is to measure the highest luminance level in the imageand use that data as the reference. Luminance levels of other areas are then adjusted sothat the level of the entire area is equal. The block for compensation is 64 pixels x 64pixels and the complementary process is applied to produce the compensation data withless error.Adjustable rangeLess 30%Fig. 42 FFC compensation concept drawingNote: Under the following conditions, the FFC circuit may not work properly. If there is some area in the image with a video level less than 70% If part of the image or the entire image is saturated If the highest video level in the image is less than 300LSB (at 10-bit output)SDM: 0=OFF, 1=Factory (Use factory data), 2=User (User setting data)To generate user data for setting FFC:Execute the command RS (FFC re-calibration) and store the result in the user area.
