6R E A R P A N E L C O N N E C T I O N S Refer to the pages indicated inparentheses for details. AM Antenna (page 13). Connect tothe supplied AM loop antenna. FM Antenna (page 13). Connect tothe supplied FM antenna. Audio Out (page 14). Optionalconnection to a TV set or externalaudio system (also for recordingdevices). Not necessary when usingDSC loudspeaker system andsubwoofer connection. AUX 1/AUX 2 Audio In (page 14).Connect to a line-level analog audiosource: TV, tape player, Minidisc, PC,etc. SCART In/Out (page 14). Connectto a TV SCART input. (SCART cableincluded.)Video Out (page 14). Connect to aTV video input. (Composite videocable not included).S-Video Out (page 14). Connect toa TV S-Video input. (S-Video cablenot included). System Audio Output (page 12).Connect to "System Audio Input" onthe DSC active subwoofer.AC Power Cord (page 14).Connect to a 230V wall outlet. Coaxial Digital Input: Connect thecoax digital output from a DVD player,HDTV receiver, LD player, MD playeror CD player to this jack. The signalmay be either a Dolby Digital signal,DTS signal or a standard PCM digitalsource. Do not connect the RF digitaloutput of an LD player to these jacks.Main Power Switch: Press thisbutton to apply power to the DSC 500.When the switch is in the "1" position,the unit is placed in Standby mode, asindicated by the blue LED on the frontpanel. To turn the unit off completelyand prevent the use of the remotecontrol, this switch should be set tothe "0" position. |
