For cleaning procedures seestep 6 below. Once the filter has been cleaned or replaced,reinstall it into the skimmer below the polishing bag.Replace bag, then install filter lid by rotating it clockwiseuntil you feel it latch in place. DO NOT FORCE LID!FINGER TIGHT ONLY!4. Remove the ProClear skimmer assembly (A) by gentlylifting upward from the filter bucket.5. Remove the ProClear filter cartridge by rotating itcounterclockwise to unthread it, then remove the center cap andchemical dispenser from the filter cartridge as shown (right).6. Clean the ProClear filter cartridges with a garden hose and highpressure nozzle. Rinse debris from the filter pleats beginning at thetop and working your way downward. Continue, one section at atime until you have cleaned all debris from the filter pleats. Whenreplacing the filter cartridge, make sure you remove the center capand chemical dispenser for use with the new cartridge. Replacementfilter cartridges may be purchased from your authorized Jacuzzidealer.14.2 Draining and refillingAbout every 3 to 6 months, you will want to replace the spa’s water. Thefrequency depends on a number of variables including the amount ofuse, number of users, attention paid to water quality maintenance, etc.You will know it is time for a change when you cannot control sudsingand/or you can no longer get the normal feel or sparkle to the water eventhough the key water balance measurements are all within the properparameters.Caution! reaD this beFore Draining: To prevent dam-age to the spas components, turn off power to the spa at the circuitbreaker before draining it. Do not turn the power back on until yourspa has been refilled.CauTIOn: There are certain precautions to keep in mind whendraining your spa. If it is extremely cold, and the spa is out-doors, freezing could occur in the lines or the equipment (see“WINTERIZING”, page 70). On the other hand, if it is hot outdoors,do not leave the spa’s surface exposed to direct sunlight.
