184. From the Temperature Screen, use the number keypad toenter the desired temperature. The temperature must bebetween 170°F (77°C) and 550°F (288°C) or an invalid keyalert occurs and the default temperature appears in thescreen.5. Press START to begin cooking, or select Set Cook Timer toset the cook time and access Keep Warm (when used withthe Cook Timer) and Delay Start.6. For the cook timer, enter a cooking length using the numberkeypad to set a timer to alert you when cooking ends. Thetime length can not exceed 12 hours. The oven door must be closed for the broil element tooperate.The temperature is preset at 550°F (288°C), but can be changedto a different temperature. Cooking times will vary depending onthe rack position and temperature and may need to be adjusted.The fan turns off immediately when door is opened and turns onagain immediately when door is closed. The broil element willturn off approximately 30 seconds after the door is opened. Theywill turn on again approximately 30 seconds after the door isclosed.To Use Convect Broil:Before using Convect Broil, see “Broil” section for generalbroiling guidelines. Position food on the broiler pan grid andplace it in the center of the oven rack with the longest sideparallel to the door. It is not necessary to wait for the oven topreheat before putting in food unless recommended in the recipe.Close the door.1.
