118 119Return to the Top pageBluetooth OperationReturn to the Top pageBluetooth OperationUsing Hands-Free FeatureYou can make or answer a call with Hand-Free by connecting a smartphone/cell-phonewith built-in Bluetooth connected to thisnavigation system.ÑDownloading the phonebookIf you want to use your phonebook data,download the data from your smartphone/cell-phone to this navigation system inadvance.1 Operate your smartphone/cell-phoneto send the phonebook data to thisnavigation system.2 Operate the cell-phone to start thehands-free connection.NOTE• If your cell-phone supports auto-download ofphonebook but not downloaded automatically,follow the procedure above to downloadmanually.• See the instruction manual of your cell-phone forthe operation.• Up to 600 phone numbers can be registered foreach registered cell-phone.• Up to 32 digits can be registered for eachphone number along with up to 50 charactersrepresenting a name. (50 is the number ofalphabetical characters. (The functionalitydepends on the cell-phone.)1 Touch [ ] to Voice Recognition screenappears.2 Pronounce a name.*1 You can sort the list to begin with touchedcharacter.• Characters with no corresponding namewill not appear.• During search, a non-accent charactersuch as “u” is searched for instead of anaccent character such as “ü”.*2 You can set the list to arrange in the orderof last name or first name. For details, seeHands-Free Setup (P.122).NOTE• While your car is moving, some functions aredisabled for safety reasons. The keys associatedwith the disabled functions become ineffectiveif touched.• The status icons such as battery and antennadisplayed may differ from those displayed on thecell-phone.• Setting the cell-phone in the private mode candisable the hands-free function.
