Clean the tape head, referring to the section on"Cleaning the tape head" (see p. 4).No sound can be heard, or thevolume is low. The fader or balance settings are set all the way to oneside.Reset the fader or balance settings.The input/output wires or wiring harness are connectedincorrectly.Reconnect the input/output wires or the wiring harnesscorrectly. See the section on "Connecting Wires toTerminals".The cassette tape is bad. Try playing another cassette tape. If works fine, the firsttape was bad.The sound quality is poor ordistorted.The speakers are not wired correctly. Reconnect the speaker wires so that each outputterminal is connected to a different speaker.One of the speaker wires is being pinched by a screw inthe car.Check the speaker wiring.Attenuator is turned on. Turn off Attenuator.The tape does not go in. /No sound can be heard eventhough the tape display is made.The car ignition was turned off during tape eject; or thetape was pulled out during loading, switching the modeto tape mode even though no tape is in.Press the Eject button.The values of Volume offset are low. Increase the values of Volume offset. (see p. 7)Can’t remove tape. The cause is that more than 10 minutes has elapsedsince the vehicle ACC switch was turned OFF.The tape can only be removed within 10 minutes of theACC switch being turned OFF. If more than 10 minuteshas elapsed, turn the ACC switch ON again and pressthe Eject button.
