SELECTING OFFSET VALUES MANUALLY1 Press [MENU].2TurntheENCcontroltoselect"VHFShift"(11)or"UHFShift"(12).4 TurntheENCcontroltoselect an offsetvalue.Thecontro! selectsin50 kHzsteps.+Select an offset thatplacesthe transmitfrequencywithin the transmit range.5 Press [SET] to store the selected value.6 Press [MENU] to exit to the previous mode.Note:+itisnotpossibletosetdifferentoffsetvaluesforVFOmodeandthememorychannels.+ThenewmanuallyselectedvaluewilbeusedevenifAutomaticOffsetisswitched ON.TH-79E:Theoffsetcan bechangedfromthedefault1.6MHzvalue;however,the 7.6MHzvalueisnot configurable.REVERSE FUNCTIONReverse allows you to manually check the signalstrength of a station accessing a repeater by switchingyour dual bander's transmit and receive frequencies onthe selected band.Press [REV] to toggle the function ON or OFF.+ The receive frequency and transmit frequency onthe selected band are exchanged. "R" appearswhen the function is ON. The default is OFF.+ If reversal would place the receive frequency outsidethe receiver freguency range, an error beep soundswhen [REV] is pressed. No reversal occurs.- If the transmit frequency would go out of thetransmitter frequency range if [PTT] were pressed,then pressing [PTT] causes an error beep andReceive is selected.- Reverse cannot be activated while [PTT] is helddown.+ Automatic Offset cannot be used while Reverse isON.33
