Press the MENU key then press or to select “ ”(VOX function off) or “ ” (VOX gain level 1) to “ ”(VOX gain level 5).• While adjusting the VOX Gain level, speak into themicrophone. When an appropriate level is reached, the LEDlights orange.• Setting the VOX gain level to OFF deactivates VOX. In orderto transmit with VOX turned off, you must use the PTT switch. Press the MENU key to exit the selection. Press the PTT, MON, or CAL key to exit Setting Mode.voX delAy timeIf the transceiver returns to receive mode too quickly afteryou stop speaking, the end of your message may not betransmitted. To avoid this, select an appropriate delay time thatallows your entire message to be transmitted. However, do notmake the delay overly long. With the transceiver power OFF, press and hold the MENUkey while turning the transceiver power ON (for 1 second). Press the or key to select “ ”. Press the MENU key then press or to select “ ”(0.1 seconds), “ ” (0.3 seconds), “ ”(0.5 seconds), “ ” (1 second), “ ” (1.5 seconds),or “ ” (3 seconds). |
