mic SenSeYou can adjust the sensitivity level of the transceivermicrophone.To select the mic sense: With the transceiver power OFF, press and hold the MENUkey while turning the transceiver power ON (for 1 second). Press the or key to select “ ”. Press the MENU key then press or to select “ ”(normal) or “ ” (high). Press the MENU key to exit the selection. Press the PTT, MON, or CAL key to exit Setting Mode.time-out timerThe Time-out Timer prevents you from using a channel for aextended durations. This function is useful, for example, whenyou accidentally keep the PTT switch pressed. Additionally, bylimiting the amount of time you can continuously transmit, thisfeature helps you save on battery power consumption.If you continuously transmit for 3 minutes (default value), thetransceiver will stop transmitting and a tone will sound.
