The Phase 5coin microprocessor controller (computer) will inform the uservia the L.E.D. display of cert ain failure codes along withindicators both in the L.E.D. display and at the outputs of eachrelay (and door switch circuit) to easily identify failures.Diagnostic (L.E.D.) Failure Codes“door” – Indicates door switch circuit is open.Keypad entry was made while main door is open or there is afault in the door switch circuit (external of the microprocessorcontroller [computer]).“dSFL” – Indicates a fault in the microprocessor temperaturesensor circuit. If a fault is detected in the microprocessorheat sensor circuit, the L.E.D. display will read “dSFL” andthe buzzer (tone) will sound for approximately 5-seconds every30-seconds.The problem is corrected or power to dryer is discontinued…and the problem is then corrected.IMPORTANT: The Phase 5 coin microprocessor controller(computer) has its own internal heat sensing circuit fuseprotection located on the back side of the (computer). If a“dSFL” condition occurs, check to see if this fuse hasblown. If it has, do not replace the entire microprocessorcontroller (computer); replace only the fuse and do so onlywith a 1/8-Amp (Slo-Blo) type fuse.NOTE: Once the Phase 5 coin microprocessor controller(computer) detects a problem in the heat circuit, it updatesevery 30-seconds so if a problem was a loose connectionin this circuit, which corrected itself, the “dSFL” conditionwould automatically be cancelled.“SEFL” – Indicates rot ational sensor circuit failure meaningthat there is a fault somewhere in the tumbler rotation detectioncircuit or the microprocessor controller (computer) programrelated to this circuit (PL01) is set incorrectly in the activemode (“SEn”), where the dryer is not equipped with optionalrotation sensor and should be set in the inactive mode(“nSEn”).“Hot” – Indicates a possible overheating condition. The Phase5 microprocessor controller (computer) monitors thetemperature in the dryer at all times. If the microprocessorcontroller (computer) detects that the temperature in the dryerhas exceeded 220° F (104° C) it will disable all outputs (shutthe dryer down), the tone (buzzer) will sound for approximately5-seconds, and the display will read “Hot.” The L.E.D. displaywill continue to read “Hot” until the temperature sensed hasdropped to 220° F (104° C) or lower and the microprocessorcontroller (computer) is manually reset by closing and openingthe PS.L.E.D.
