24 ENGLISHOverdischarge protectionWhen the battery capacity is not enough, the mainpower lamp and the corresponding battery indicatorblink in red. In this case, switch the battery cartridges,or change the battery cartridges to fully charged ones,or remove the battery cartridges from the machine andcharge them.NOTE: The main power lamp blinks in red when thebattery is overheated.Protections against other causesNOTICE: The main power lamp blinks in greenand red alternately when the abnormality occursin the machine. In this case, refer to the sectionfor troubleshooting.Protection system is also designed for other causes thatcould damage the machine and allows the machine tostop automatically. Take all the following steps to clearthe causes, when the machine has been brought to atemporary halt or stop in operation.1. Turn the machine off, and then turn it on again torestart.2. Charge the battery(ies) or replace it/them withrecharged battery(ies).3. Let the machine and battery(ies) cool down.NOTICE: If no improvement can be found orthe machine stops due to a cause not describedabove, refer to the section for troubleshooting.Indicating the remaining batterycapacityCAUTION: Before checking the remainingbattery capacities or switching the battery car-tridges, be sure to stop the machine.CAUTION: When the battery capacitybecomes low, a short beep sound is emitted. Inthis case, lock the brake lever, and then switchthe battery cartridges to charged ones or chargethe battery cartridges. If you continue to operate themachine at low battery capacity and the remainingbattery capacity runs out, a long beep sound is emit-ted and the machine automatically stops and this maycause an accident or injury.CAUTION: If the beep sound is emitted whileoperating on slopes, move the machine to a safeplace, lock the brake lever, and then switch thebattery cartridges to charged ones or charge thebattery cartridges.CAUTION: If the load is large and the beepsound is emitted while operating on slopes, lockthe brake lever and pay attention to safety andswitch the battery cartridges to charged ones.Move the machine to a safe place and lock thebrake lever. After the machine stops automatically,the beep sound continues and the support brake isenabled. To cancel the beep sound and release thesupport brake, release the switch trigger and pull thebrake lever. Do not push the machine forcibly withoutreleasing the support brake.NOTE: You can check the remaining battery capacityeven if the lock key is not inserted.NOTE: The battery indicators for remaining batterycapacity are just for reference. Actual battery capacitymay vary depending on usage conditions.
