21 ENGLISHNOTE: When you set ADT (Automatic Torque DriveTechnology), ADT indicator turns on and the tool runsat optimum rotation speed and torque for the condi-tion of grass being cut.Reverse button for debris removalWARNING: Switch off the tool and removethe battery cartridge before you remove entan-gled weeds or debris which the reverse rotationfunction can not remove. Failure to switch off andremove the battery cartridge may result in seriouspersonal injury from accidental start-up.This tool has a reverse button to change the direction ofrotation. It is only for removing weeds and debris entan-gled in the tool.To reverse the rotation, tap the reverse button and pullthe switch trigger while depressing the lock-off leverwhen the cutting tool is stopped. The speed indicatorsand ADT indicator start blinking, and the cutting toolrotates in reverse direction when you pull the switchtrigger.To return to regular rotation, release the trigger and waituntil the cutting tool stops.► Fig.11: 1. Reverse buttonNOTE: During the reverse rotation, the tool operatesonly for a short period of time and then automaticallystops.NOTE: Once the tool is stopped, the rotation returnsto regular direction when you start the tool again.NOTE: If you tap the reverse button while the cuttingtool is still rotating, the tool comes to stop and to beready for reverse rotation.Electric brakeThis tool is equipped with an electric brake. If the toolconsistently fails to quickly stop after the switch triggeris released, have the tool serviced at our service center.CAUTION: This brake system is not a substi-tute for the protector. Never use the tool withoutthe protector. An unguarded cutting tool may resultin serious personal injury.ASSEMBLYWARNING: Always be sure that the tool isswitched off and battery cartridge is removedbefore carrying out any work on the tool. Insert the shaft of the handle into the grip. Alignthe screw hole in the grip with the one in the shaft.Tighten the screw securely.► Fig.12: 1. Grip 2. Screw 3. Handle2. Place handle between handle clamp and handleholder. Adjust the handle to an angle that provides acomfortable working position and then secure with hexsocket head bolts.► Fig.13: 1. Handle holderAttaching the barrierFor DUR190L and DUR191L (country specific)If the barrier is included in your model, attach it to thehandle using the screw on the barrier.► Fig.14: 1. Barrier 2. ScrewCAUTION: After assembling the barrier, donot remove it. The barrier works as a safety partto prevent you from contacting the cutting bladeaccidentally.Mounting the attachment pipeFor DUR191U and DUR191L onlyMount the attachment pipe to the power unit.1. Turn the lever to the direction of the arrow shownin the figure.► Fig.15: 1. Lever2. Pull up the joint cover and insert the attachmentpipe while aligning the protrusion on the pipe (cuttingtool side) with the concave portion of the joint part.► Fig.16: 1. Lock lever 2. Joint cover 3. PipeMake sure that the surface of the lock lever is parallelto the pipe.3. Turn the lever to the direction of the arrow shownin the figure.► Fig.17: 1. LeverTo remove the pipe, turn the lever to the direction of thearrow shown in the figure and pull the pipe out whilepressing down the lock lever.► Fig.18: 1. Lever 2. Lock lever 3.
