The first drawer isattached to the terminal through a cable with an RJ-45 connector. A seconddrawer can be connected using a 'Y' cable.Note: A single Open/Close status signal is shared with both drawers. Therefore, it isnot possible to determine which cash drawer is open.Note: The terminal has a protection diode on board to limit back EMF from thesolenoid when the solenoid turns off. Third party cash drawers should also have adiode installed across the solenoid to further reduce potentially damaging overshootfrom the solenoid. This diode is present on all NCR cash drawers.
