Only atechnically qualified person should integrate and configure the system.The only procedures that can safely be done with the system power on isremoving or installing (hot-swapping) an SCA disk drive/carrier assembly in theSCSI hot-swap drive cage, hot-swapping a failed power supply, hot-swapping afailed device module, or hot swapping a CPU or PCI module. Note that hot-swapping a PCI module or a CPU module requires that the other module beoperating properly. For any other procedures inside the system, turn off systempower and disconnect the AC power cord (s).! WARNINGBefore doing any procedures in this chapter that require theserver to be off, make sure that your system is powered offand unplug all AC power cords. Failure to disconnect powerbefore opening your system can result in personal injury andequipment damage.System power on/off. The DC push-button on/off switch (aconvex button) on the front panel DOES NOT turn off thesystem AC power. To remove power from system, you mustunplug the AC power cords (from wall outlets or powersupply).Hazardous conditions, power supply. Hazardous voltage,current, and energy levels are present inside the powersupply. There are no user serviceable parts inside it;servicing should be done by technically qualified personnel.Hazardous conditions, devices & cables. Hazardouselectrical conditions may be present on power, telephone,and communication cables. Turn off the system anddisconnect the power cords, telecommunications systems,networks, and modems attached to the system beforeopening it. Otherwise, personal injury or equipment damagecan result.
