General Description 2-27POWER SwitchUse the POWER switch to turn on/off the server.Power OnPress the POWER switch on the front of the computer chassis.The POWER/SLEEP lamp lights in green.IMPORTANT: If the power cord is connected to a power control device such as aUPS (Uninterruptive Power Supply), make sure that the powercontrol device is powered. If the power cord is connected to the server, an initial diagnosis ofthe hardware starts. The POWER switch does not work while indiagnosis. Wait for about 30 seconds, then press the POWERswitch. Do not turn off the server until characters following the "NEC" logoappears on the screen. The time until the characters appear dependson your system configuration. Approximately, it may take one tofive minutes.POWER/SLEEP lamp
