Simply match the connectors on the USB cable to theUSB port on your system and the port on the USB device, then plug in thecable. For multiple USB devices, simply plug the USB cable on the new deviceinto a free USB port on the existing device (many devices come with twoor more ports). Most USB devices do not need a separate power source as they draw theirpower from the system. Some high power devices (for example, USBhubs and amplified speakers) may need their own power supplies.PC CardsYour system supports Type II PC cards for extending system capabilities.Type II cards have a standard 68-pin connector.Type II cards are often storage or communication devices such as StaticRandom Access Memory (SRAM), Read Only Memory (RAM), FlashMemory, modem, and Small Computer System Interface (SCSI).Some PC cards are Type II extended cards. The extended card has anadditional physical component that protrudes beyond the normal cardsize. The extension provides room for additional electronics as well as alocation for external connectors.Inserting a PC CardThe system integrates two CardBus slots on the left side of the systemunit. Use the slots to insert up to two Type II PC cards, either 16-bit or32-bit (CardBus). The Type II cards can be inserted in either or both slots. The CardBus slots do not support zoomed video (ZV Port).
