5-18 Desktop RepairSystem Board RemovalRemove the system board per the following steps.1. Remove the following components as previously described:n top covern expansion boardsn ISA/PCI-bus backboardn 3 1/2-inch drive bracketn SIMMs installed on the system board.NOTE: If installed, remove the optional videoDRAM module (see Section 3, Options).2. Remove and label all cables connected to the system board. Appendix A shows thegeneral locations of the connectors on the system board. Appendix A alsoincludes the pin assignments for each connector.3. Remove the seven screws that hold the system board to the system unit chassis. Re-move the system board from the system unit.
