117CHAPTER 7:PRINTER MAINTENANCEREPLACEMENT P ROCEDURES FOR MAINTENANCE PARTSFollow the procedures and cautions described below for the maintenance task.1. Do not perform any operation, disassembly, and modifications etc., that are not outlined in this Manual.2. Turn the power OFF and unplug the power cable from the outlet prior to starting disassembly.3. Prior to starting any work on this printer, read warnings related to "High Temperature", "High Voltage", and"Laser Radiation". make sure to read and understand the warnings and cautions in this Manual.4. Properly recycle or dispose of the waste toneror toner modules. Never dump them together with flammablematerials or throw them into the fire.5. Disconnect the grounding wire when replacing or removing DC power supply unit. After completing thereplacement work, confirm the grounding wire is properly installed.6. Confirm the direction of parts and length of screws in replacement work of the maintenance parts. (See Table7-1.)7. Do not use any solvent such as alcohol for the maintenance of this printer.8. Confirm all the parts and covers installed or assembled properly prior to starting the test run after replacementof the maintenance parts.See Chapter 8 "Troubleshooting" and 9 "List of Maintenance Parts" for reference.
