Chapter 4 Block ReferenceFieldPoint FP-3000 User Manual4-4 ©National Instruments CorporationLOG (FieldPoint Log Block) (FP-3000 Specific)The LOG block contains a log of error conditions and events detected bythe device as it operates.STAT (FieldPoint Statistics Block) (FP-3000 Specific)The STAT block contains a set of parameters that can be used to examinehow the device is performing. It contains statistics describing theperformance of local function blocks and the network interface.Function Blocks and FieldPoint ModulesThe FP-3000 supports a wide variety of I/O channels, each with differenttypes of configuration information. For example, a thermocouple channelincludes parameters for thermocouple type and has ranges for differenttemperatures; a current loop channel includes parameters for filterfrequency and has a different group of available ranges to chose from.Because of these differences in parameters, the FP-3000 has a blockspecific to each type of channel it supports. To use a thermocoupleconnected to an I/O channel on an FP-TC-120 module, the FP-3000provides a FP-TC-120 AI Block. This block is a standard Analog Inputblock augmented with parameters specific to the thermocouple channel onthe FP-TC-120.Binary Open/Close(BINARY_OP/BINARY_CL)BINARY_OP only functions when ENABLE_OP has a value ofDiscrete_State_1. BINARY_CL only functions when ENABLE_CLhas a value of Discrete_State_1. If both BINARY_OP andBINARY_CL are set and enabled, neither one takes effect.Operator Command(OP_CMD_CXO)OP_CMD_CXO is a contained bit string parameter that has a bit forOpen and a bit for Close. Open only functions when ENABLE_OP hasa value of Discrete_State_1. Close only functions whenENABLE_CL has a value of Discrete_State_1. If both Open andClose are set and enabled, neither one takes effect.Table 4-1. CDO Block Interlock Priorities (Continued)Input(Descending Priority) Notes
