ABSYNTH 5 Reference Manual – 1208.3.3 Loop ModeIf the Loop Mode is selected, a Loop Start Marker that looks like a sideways-tilted U will bedisplayed together with the red Sustain/Release Marker. You can use this Marker to selectall the Breakpoints prior to the Sustain/Release point, right up to the first one. Segments ofpath inside the Loop are blue, while segments outside are green. Consider that Breakpointsare target-points of the path – therefore the segments of path prior to the Loop Point alsobelong to the Loop. In Loop Mode, the envelope jumps back to the Loop Start Marker assoon as it has reached the Sustain/Release Marker, and repeats the section in between untilthe note is released.8.3.4 Retrigger ModeIn Retrigger Mode, the envelope is restarted according to the Retrigger value when a note isheld. If the note is released before the Sustain/Release point is reached, the envelope jumpsto the position of this point and proceeds from there until the end. If the Sustain/ReleaseMarker is located inside the Retrigger Loop, the envelope keeps its position. The Retriggermode is especially useful for creating rhythmic, looped paths. You can feed the retrigger speedas number of beats into the Retrigger: Beat control.
