The light is IP-X7waterproof and is drop rated at 2 meters.The Helmet Mounted Multi-Function Dual-Light Flashlight can be attached to eitherside of virtually any Fire Helmet or Hard Hat and provides a wide range of adjustabilityoptions. This adjustability allows the user to best position the light for purposes ofproviding clearance around face shields, goggles or other potential obstructions whilestill allowing the fl oodlight to point in a downward direction regardless of the angle of thebrim of the helmet.INSTALLING BATTERIES INTO THE 5466WARNING: In order to maintain the XPP-5466’s Intrinsically Safe rating, theonly CR-123 batteries certified for use with this light are the ENERGIZER 123BATTERIES.y Do not attempt to use any other brand or model of CR-123 batteries with this light.y Do not attempt to use any type of rechargeable CR-123 batteries with this light.Warning: To prevent ignition of a hazardous atmosphere, do not open the batterycompartment door in the hazardous environment. This task must ONLY be donein an area known to be non-hazardous.y To install the CR-123 Lithium Batteries in the 5466, begin by unscrewing the screwon the battery compartment door. (Image 1)y Using 2 – ENERGIZER 123 BATTERIES (make sure that both batteries are of thesame model), install the batteries in the back of the light paying close attention to themarkings inside the battery compartment for proper battery terminal polarity alignment.(Image 2)y Close the battery compartment door.y Tighten locking screw. CAUTION: Do NOT over-tighten. Doing so may damage thethreads and impact the light’s Intrinsic Safety. (Image 3)Image 1 Image 2 Image 3ADJUSTING THE ORIENTATION AND/OR ANGLE OF THE MOUNTThe mount on the top of the light is designed to be adjustable in terms of which sideof the helmet it can be mounted to. Additionally, adjustments to the angle of the light canbe made to refine the angle of the beam in relation to the helmet. Out of the packaging,the mount is set up for attachment to the right side of the helmet. If the light needs to bemounted to the other side of the helmet or if the angle of the light needs to be adjusted,use the following steps to make those adjustments:Using the included 5/32” Allen Wrench, loosen and then remove the Angle LockSocket Head Cap Screw and separate the Mount from the rest of the assembly. (Image 4)If the angle of the light needs to be adjusted, loosen the Angle Adjustment SocketHead Cap Screw found below the Mount using the 5/32” Allen Wrench, adjust the angleas needed and then tighten the Angle Adjustment Socket Head Cap Screw completely.(Image 5)Reinsert the Mount into the rest of the assembly and reinstall the Angle Lock SocketHead Cap Screw paying close attention to the fact that the Mount is positioned correctlybased on the side of the helmet that the light is to be mounted to.
