Refer tothe page numbers listed in the right-most column for information on solvingthe problems listed here.Electronically-Controlled CamerasIn extremely rare instances, unusual characters may appear in the monitor andthe camera may stop functioning. In most cases, this phenomenon is causedby a strong external static charge. Turn the camera off, remove and replacethe batteries, and turn the camera on again, or, if you are using an AC adapter(available separately), disconnect and reconnect the adapter, and turn thecamera on again. In the event of continued malfunction, contact your retaileror Nikon representative. Note that disconnecting the power source as de-scribed above may result in the loss of any data not recorded to the memorycard at the time the problem occurred.
