An ISO icon is displayed to warn that thepicture may be slightly mottled.The (Camera Shake) IconWhen lighting is poor and the flash is off ( ), shutter speedswill slow and pictures may be blurred. If the shutter speedrequired for exposure is very slow, a (camera shake) warningbe displayed. Use of a tripod or support is recommended.Flash RangeFlash range varies with zoom position. When the camera is zoomed all the way out, theflash has a range of 0.4 – 4.3 m (1´4˝ – 14´). The range at maximum zoom is 1.0 –2.6 m(3´3˝– 8´6˝). As a result, the flash may not be able to light the entire subject at distancesof less than 0.4 m/15.7˝ (widest angle) or 1.0 m/3´3˝ (maximum zoom). When takingclose-ups, play each picture back after shooting to check the results.Default Flash ModeWhen the camera is turned on in (auto) mode, the most recent flash setting will berestored; in other modes, the flash will be reset to the default for the selected mode.Reset all ( 99) resets the flash to AUTO ( mode) or to the default for the currentmode (assist and scene modes).
