53Adjusting the Camera Settings in Shooting ModeMore on ShootingR Tapping the Monitor to Focus (Touch AF/AE)The touch shooting setting can be changed from K Touch shutter (defaultsetting) to R Touch AF/AE.Tap a subject in the monitor to select the area at which the camera focuses. Pressthe shutter-release button halfway to lock focus and exposure for the area tapped,and press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down to take the picture.1 Tap R (touch AF/AE).q is displayed at the left side of the monitor inshooting mode.2 Tap the subject at which the camerafocuses.I or a double border will be displayed at thearea tapped.When digital zoom is in effect, the touch AF/AEfunction is not available.Touch AF/AE operation differs, according to thecurrent shooting mode, as follows.Shooting mode Touch AF/AE operationG (easy auto) mode• When the camera recognizes a face, only a faceframed by a border can be selected.
