60Adjusting the Camera Settings in Shooting ModeMore on Shootinga Automatic Shooting of a Smiling Face (Smile Timer)The camera detects smiles on the recognized faces and the shutter is automaticallyreleased.1 Tap Y.The smile timer is enabled.2 Frame a picture.When the camera recognizes a human face, ayellow double border (focus area) is displayedaround that face. When focus is acquired onthat face, the double border will glow green fora moment and focus is locked.Up to three faces can be recognized. When thecamera detects more than one face, the doubleborder is displayed around the face closest to the center of the frame, and single borderaround the others. When a face framed by a single border is tapped, the single borderchanges to a double border and the camera will focus on that face.3 The shutter is automatically released.If the camera detects that the face framed bythe double border is smiling, the shutter isautomatically released.When the camera recognizes a face, the self-timer lamp (A 4) blinks.
