Select a subject to be focused on. Thefocus area will automatically move and follow the subject.1 Display the shooting-modeselection menu by pressing the Abutton in shooting mode, use therotary multi selector to choose s,and then press the k button.• A white border is displayed in the centerof the frame.• The flash mode (A30) is set to W (off ) (the setting can be changed).2 Select a subject.• Frame the subject in the center of the border, and pressthe k button.- The subject is selected and will be framed by a yellowdouble border.- When the camera is unable to focus on the subject,the single border will glow red. Change thecomposition and try again.• Once the selected subject is not visible on the monitor,the double border will disappear and the selection willbe cancelled. Select the subject again.3 Press the shutter-release button halfway.• The camera focuses on the focus area framed by thedouble border. The double border will glow green andfocus will be locked.• When the camera is unable to focus, the double borderwill blink.
