See the Quick Start Guide for viewing instructions.CAUTION: Foreign Matter on the Low-Pass FilterNikon takes every possible precaution to prevent foreign matter from coming intocon tact with the low-pass filter during production and shipping. The D2Xs, howev er,is designed to be used with interchangeable lenses, and foreign matter may enter thecamera when lens es are removed or exchanged. Once inside the camera, this foreignmatter may adhere to the low-pass filter, where it may appear in photographs takenunder certain conditions. To prevent foreign matter from entering the camera, donot exchange lenses in dusty environments. To protect the camera when no lens is inplace, be sure to replace the body cap provid ed with the camera, being careful to firstremove all dust and other foreign matter that may be adher ing to the body cap.Should foreign matter find its way onto the low-pass filter, clean the low-pass filter asinstructed on pages 256–257 of this manual, or have the low-pass filter cleaned byauthorized Nikon service person nel. Photo graphs affected by the presence of foreignmatter on the low-pass filter can be retouched using Capture NX (available separately)or the clean image options available in some third-party imag ing software.Product Documentation
