153This feature is used to lock flash output, allowing photographs tobe recomposed without changing the flash level and ensuringthat flash output is appropriate to the subject even when thesubject is not positioned in the center of the frame. Flash outputis adjusted automatically for any changes in ISO sensitivity andaperture.To use FV lock:1 Assign FV lock to a camera control.Select FV lock as the “Press” optionfor Custom Setting f2 (Assign Fnbutton, 0 284), f3 (Assign previewbutton, 0 285), or f4 (Assign AE-L/AF-L button, 0 285).2 Raise the flash.In P, S, A, M, and 0 modes, the flash canbe raised by pressing the M (Y)button.
