3003 Select the second image.The selected image will appear as Image 1. HighlightImage 2 and press J, then select the second photo asdescribed in Step 2.4 Adjust gain.Highlight Image 1 or Image 2 andoptimize exposure for the overlay bypressing 1 or 3 to select gain fromvalues between 0.1 and 2.0. Repeatfor the second image. The defaultvalue is 1.0; select 0.5 to halve gain or2.0 to double it. The effects are visible in the Previewcolumn.5 Preview the overlay.To preview the composition as shownat right, press 4 or 2 to place thecursor in the Preview column, thenpress 1 or 3 to highlight Overlayand press J (note that colors andbrightness in the preview may differfrom the final image). To save the overlay without displayinga preview, select Save. To return to Step 4 and select newphotos or adjust gain, press W (S).6 Save the overlay.Press J while the preview isdisplayed to save the overlay. After anoverlay is created, the resulting imagewill be displayed full-frame in themonitor.
