This may impair the instrument’s performance or even lead to instru-ment failure.The manufacturer recommends the following steps to prevent the device fromgetting damaged due to electrostatic discharge:- Discharge static electricity from your body before touching the instrument’selectronic components.- Avoid unnecessary movements to reduce the risk of building up static elec-tricity- Wear a properly grounded antistatic wrist strap to discharge your body andto keep away static electricity.Touch components which are sensitive to electrostatic build-up only in antistaticworking areas. Use antistatic floor coverings and working surfaces always ifpossible
