4311. Text messagesThe text message network service allows you to receive textmessages from a variety of sources, such as a Web page setup by your service provider. Contact your service provider formore information.Reading messagesWhen you receive a text message, the phone displays theindicator, either Message received or Newemergency message (if an emergency message has beenreceived), and makes a sound (depending on the messagealert tone; see page 22).To read the message, press Read. This takes you to theInbox, with the new message selected. Press Read again.If necessary, use the scroll keys to read the entire message.After reaching the end of the message, use the scroll keys toview the sender’s name or phone number, and the date andtime the message was received.Options when reading messagesSeveral options are available while you’re reading a message.Just press Options, scroll to the one you want, then press OK.Read next allows you to read the next message.Erase deletes the message. Press OK to confirm the deletion(or to cancel).Save saves the message in the Saved folder.Call back calls any displayed phone number included in themessage. If more than one number was included, a list ofnumbers is displayed. Choose one and press Call.When you’ve seen the last new message, the indicatordisappears.
