For example, abusiness can have a closed groupand separate groups created forcertain business functions.Add a groupSelect Menu > Push to talk > Addgroup. Select from the followingoptions:Guided — to add a new group. To setthe security level for the group,select Public group or Private group.If you select Private group, thephone automatically creates ascrambled part to the group addressthat the members cannot view whenthey receive the invitation to thegroup. Only the person who createsthe private group can invite moremembers to the group. Enter thename for the group. Select Default,Listened, or Inactive. The phoneindicates that the group is saved andits status. Default and Listened areactive groups. When you press thePTT key to make a group call, thedefault group is called if you havenot scrolled to any other group orcontact. To send an invitation to thegroup, select Yes when the phonerequests it. You can send theinvitation using a text message or IR.The members you invite to the publicgroups can also invite moremembers to the group.Manual — to join an existing group.Enter the group address. SelectDefault, Listened, or Inactive. Thephone indicates that the group issaved and its status. Default andListened are active groups. Whenyou press the PTT key to make agroup call, the default group iscalled if you do not scroll to anyother group or contact.Receive an invitation1. When you receive a text messageinvitation to a group, Groupinvitation received: is displayed.2. To view the nickname of theperson who sent the invitationand the group address if thegroup is not a private group,select View.3. To add the group to your phone,select Save. To set the status forthe group, select Default,Listened, or Inactive.To reject the invitation, select Exit >Yes, or select View > Discard > Yes.
