For more information,contact your service provider.Security moduleThe security module improvessecurity services for applicationsrequiring a browser connection, andallows you to use a digital signature.The security module may containcertificates as well as private andpublic keys. The certificates aresaved in the security module by theservice provider.To view or change the securitymodule settings, select Menu >Settings > Security > Securitymodule settings.CertificatesImportant: Even if the useof certificates makes therisks involved in remoteconnections and softwareinstallation considerablysmaller, they must be usedcorrectly in order to benefitfrom increased security. Theexistence of a certificatedoes not offer anyprotection by itself; thecertificate manager mustcontain correct, authentic,or trusted certificates forincreased security to beavailable. Certificates havea restricted lifetime. IfExpired certificate orCertificate not valid yet isshown even if thecertificate should be valid,check that the current dateand time in your device arecorrect.Before changing anycertificate settings, youmust make sure that youreally trust the owner of thecertificate and that thecertificate really belongs tothe listed owner.There are three kinds of certificates:server certificates, authoritycertificates, and user certificates.You may receive these certificatesfrom your service provider. Authoritycertificates and user certificates mayalso be saved in the security moduleby the service provider.To view the list of the authority oruser certificates downloaded intoyour phone, select Menu >Settings > Security > Authoritycertificates or User certificates.
