To save a new contact tothe phone’s memory for contacts,select the option Save contact, or toadd a new detail to the selectedcontact, select Add to contact.Participating in a chatconversationJoin in or start a chat conversationby pressing Write or start writing.• If you receive a new messagefrom a person who is not takingpart in the current chat session,is shown on the top of thedisplay.Key in your message and press Sendor to send it. The messagestays on the display and the replymessage appears below yourmessage.Editing your own settingsEnter the Chat menu and connect tothe chat service. Select My settingsto view and edit your ownavailability information or screenname. Select Availability andAvailable for all or Avail. forcontacts (or Appear offline) to allowall the other chat users or only thecontacts on your chat contact list tosee you as being online when youhave connected to the chat service.Contacts for the chatYou can add contacts from thephone’s contacts memory to thechat contacts list.Connect to the chat service, andselect Chat contacts. If you have nocontacts added, press Add.Otherwise, select the option Addcontact. Select from the contacts inthe phone’s contact memory thename that you want to add to thelist of chat contacts.Scroll to a contact and press Chat tostart a chat.You can select, for example, anoption to view the details of theselected contact, or to block (orunblock) the messages from theselected contact.
