Authoritycertificates and user certificates mayalso be saved in the security moduleby the service provider.The security indicator isdisplayed during a connection, if thedata transmission between thephone and the content server isencrypted.Digital signatureYou can make digital signatures withyour phone. The signature can betraced back to you via the privatekey on the security module and theuser certificate that was used toperform the signature. Using thedigital signature can be the same assigning your name to a paper bill,contract or other document.To make a digital signature, select alink on a page, for example, the titleof the book that you want to buy andits price. The text to sign (possiblyincluding amount, date, etc.) will beshown.Check that the header text is Readand that the digital signature iconis shown. If the digitalsignature icon does not appear, thereis a security breach, and you shouldnot enter any personal data such asyour signing PIN.To sign the text, read all of the textfirst and then you can select Sign.The text may not fit within a singlescreen. Therefore, make sure to scrollthrough and read all of the textbefore signing. Select the usercertificate that you want to use. Keyin the signing PIN (see ”Accesscodes” on page viii) and press OK.The digital signature icon willdisappear, and the service maydisplay a confirmation of yourpurchase.
