Y o u r d e v i c e23To change the lock code do the following:1. Tap Change lock code. Enter the current lock code (the default codeis 12345), and tap OK.2. Enter the new code, and tap OK.3. Enter the new code again, and tap OK.To enhance security, there is a short delay before OK is availablebetween each step.If you tap Cancel in any of these dialogs, the device lock code isnot changed.Keep the new code secret and in a safe place separate fromyour device.To lock the device with a code, briefly press the power key. In the Devicemode dialog, select Lock device > OK. If you have not enabled the Usedevice lock security settings in the control panel, the Enter lock codedialog opens, and you must enter the code to lock the device.To unlock the device, press the power key, enter the lock code, andtap OK.Note: If you lose the device lock code, you must take the deviceto a Nokia authorized service facility. To unlock the device, thesoftware needs to be reloaded, and as a result all data you havesaved in the device may be lost.Touch screen and key guardTo lock the touch screen and keys, briefly press the power key, and selectLock touch screen and keys > OK. To unlock the touch screen and keys,press the power key and the center of the scroll key.The touch screen and key lock is automatically enabled when theprotective cover is inserted over the screen of the device, anddisabled when the cover is removed.
