L i m i t e d w a r r a n t y54Limited warrantyFor products purchased in the United States of AmericaNokia Inc. ("Nokia") warrants that this mobile enhancement product oraccessory ("Product") is free from defects in material and workmanship thatresult in Product failure during normal usage, according to the following termsand conditions:1. The limited warranty for the Product extends for ONE (1) year beginning onthe date of the sale of the Product to the original purchaser ("Consumer")of the Product who purchases it in the United States. It is not assignableor transferable to any subsequent purchaser or user.2. During the limited warranty period, Nokia will repair, or replace, at Nokia'ssole option, defective parts, or parts that will not properly operate for theirintended use, with new or refurbished parts if needed because of productmalfunction or failure during normal usage. The limited warranty does notcover defects in appearance, cosmetic, decorative or structural items includingframing and non-operative parts, and expenses related to removing orreinstalling the Product. Nokia does not warrant uninterrupted or error-freeoperation of the Product.3. Consumer shall have no coverage or benefits under this limited warrantyif any of the following conditions are applicable:a) The Product has been subjected to physical abuse, exposure to moistureor dampness, abnormal use, abnormal conditions, improper storage,unauthorized modifications, unauthorized connections, unauthorizedrepair, misuse, neglect, improper installation, shipping damage or otheracts which are not the fault of Nokia.b) The product has been damaged from external causes such as collisionwith an object, or from fire, flooding, sand, dirt, windstorm, lightning,earthquake or damage from exposure to weather conditions, an Act ofGod, or battery leakage, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of anyelectrical source, or damage caused by software viruses, bugs, worms,Trojan Horses, or cancelbots or by connection to products notrecommended for interconnection by Nokia.c) Nokia was not advised in writing by Consumer of the alleged defect ormalfunction of the Product within fourteen (14) days after the expirationof the applicable limited warranty period.d) The Product serial number plate or the accessory data code has beenremoved, defaced or altered.
