Writing textTo switch between auto-capitalisation, uppercaseand lowercase, tap . At the beginning of a word youcan choose between capitalisation and lowercase. Inthe middle of a word you can choose betweenuppercase and lowercase. All the sentences followingthe characters ! ? ¿ ¡ and . are capitalisedautomatically, unless you have disabled this option inControl Panel Pen Input settings.Note that the case of the letter depends on the alphabetmode you have selected, not on how you write the letteron the screen. You can write uppercase letters to producelowercase letters if the system recognises uppercasewriting more easily. Note also that you cannot select theAB mode at the beginning of an auto-capitalised word.Tip: See “Pen input settings” on page 36 for more auto-capitalisation settings.To write numbers, special characters or handwritinggestures, tap for numbers and for specialcharacters. See figure 14 on how to enter spaces,backspaces, etc.To delete text, select the text by dragging the stylusover the text. Draw the backspace gesture. See fig. 14.To teach the system your individual writing style,select the Control panel application and Pen InputSettings, then tap Training. Double-tap on a characterset (lowercase or uppercase letters, numbers, or specialcharacters) and select the individual character to betrained. Tap Train. Draw the character in your own wayand tap OK. To change the writing style you havetaught the system, open the Draw character dialogagain, and tap Clear to remove the existing style. Drawthe new character and tap OK.Train only the characters that the system has difficultyrecognising. If you try to train the system to recognize allthe characters, your smartphone may run out of memory.On-screen keyboardTo use the on-screen keyboard, tap on the keys of thekeyboard with the stylus.
