All rights reserved.■ Shared memoryThe following features in your phonemay share memory: phone book, textand multimedia messages, imagesand ringing tones in gallery,calendar, to-do notes, and Javagames and applications. Using anysuch features may reduce thememory available for any featuressharing memory. This is especiallytrue with heavy use of any of thefeatures (although some of thefeatures may have a certain amountof memory specially allotted to themin addition to the amount of memoryshared with other features). Forexample, saving many images,bookmarks, java apps, etc. may takeall of the shared memory and yourphone may display a message thatthe memory is full. In this case,delete some of the information orentries stored in the shared memoryfeatures before continuing.■ Using the menuThe phone offers you an extensiverange of functions, which aregrouped into menus. Most of themenu functions are provided with abrief help text. To activate the helptexts, see ”Help text activation” onpage 34. To view the help text, scrollto the menu function you want andwait for 15 seconds. To exit the helptext, press Back.Accessing a menu functionBy scrolling1. To access the menu, press Menu.2. Scroll through the menu andchoose, for example, Settings bypressing Select.3. If the menu contains submenus,select the one you want, forexample Call settings.4. If the selected submenu containsfurther submenus, repeat step 3.Select the next submenu, forexample Anykey answer.5. Select the setting of your choice.6. Press Back to return to theprevious menu level, and Exit toexit the menu.By shortcutsThe menus, submenus and settingoptions are numbered and you canaccess them using their shortcutnumbers.
