Route guidance uses a rotating compasson the device display. A red ball showsthe direction to the destination, and theapproximate distance to it is showninside the compass ring.Route guidance is designed to show thestraightest route and the shortestdistance to the destination, measuredin a straight line. Any obstacles on theroute, such as buildings and naturalobstacles, are ignored. Differences inaltitude are not taken into accountwhen calculating the distance. Routeguidance is active only when you move.To set your trip destination, selectOptions > Set destination and alandmark as the destination, or enterthe latitude and longitude coordinates.To clear the destination set for your trip,select Stop navigation.Trip meterSelect Menu > Applications >Location > GPS data and Tripdistance.The trip meter has limited accuracy, androunding errors may occur. Accuracy canalso be affected by availability andquality of GPS signals.To turn trip distance calculation on oroff, select Options > Start or Stop. Thecalculated values remain on the display.Use this feature outdoors to receive abetter GPS signal.To set the trip distance and time andaverage and maximum speeds to zero,and to start a new calculation, selectOptions > Reset.
