This may be the service provider or other vendor.1. With the back of the device facing you, press the release button (1) andslide the back cover off (2).2. If the battery isinserted, lift thebattery in thedirection of thearrow toremove it.3. Insert the SIMcard. Make surethat thecontact area onthe card isfacing theconnectors onthe device andthat thebevelled corneris facing thetop of the device.4. Insert thebattery. Alignthe contacts ofthe batterywith thecorrespondingconnectors onthe batterycompartmentand insert in the direction of the arrow.5. Slide the backcover back toplace.Charge the battery1. Connect a compatible charger to a wall outlet.2. Connect thepower cord tothe device. Ifthe battery iscompletelydischarged, itmay take awhile beforethe charging indicator starts scrolling.3. When the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger from the device,then from the wall outlet.Your battery has been precharged at the factory, but the charging levels mayvary. To reach the full operation time, charge the battery until it has beenfully charged according to the battery level indicator.Tip: If you have old compatible Nokia chargers, you can use them withthe Nokia E51 by attaching the CA-44 charger adapter to the oldcharger.
