Messaging foldersSelect Menu > Messaging.Messages and data received using Bluetoothconnectivity are stored in the Inbox folder. E-mailmessages are stored in the Mailbox folder. Messagesthat you have been writing can be stored in the Draftsfolder. Messages that are waiting to be sent are storedin the Outbox folder, and messages that have beensent, excluding Bluetooth messages, are stored in theSent folder.Tip: Messages are placed in the Outbox folder,for example, when your device is outsidenetwork coverage.Note: The message sent icon or text on yourdevice screen does not indicate that the message isreceived at the intended destination.To request the network to send you a delivery reportof the text messages and multimedia messages youhave sent (network service), select Options >Settings > Text message > Receive report orMultimedia message > Receive reports. Thereports are saved in the Reports folder.Text and multimediamessagesSelect Menu > Messaging.Only devices that have compatible features can receiveand display multimedia messages. The appearance ofa message may vary depending on the receiving device.A multimedia message (MMS) can contain text andobjects such as images, sound clips, or video clips.Before you can send or receive multimedia messageson your device, you must define the multimediamessage settings. Your device may recognise the SIMcard provider and configure the correct multimediamessage settings automatically. If not, contact yourservice provider for the correct settings, order thesettings from your service provider in a configurationmessage, or use the Settings wizard application.Write and send messagesSelect Menu > Messaging.Important: Exercise caution when openingmessages. Messages may contain malicious softwareor otherwise be harmful to your device or PC.Before you can create a multimedia message or writean e-mail, you must have the correct connectionsettings in place.The wireless network may limit the size of MMSmessages. If the inserted picture exceeds this limit, thedevice may make it smaller so that it can be sent byMMS.Check the size limit of e-mail messages with yourservice provider. If you attempt to send an e-mailmessage that exceeds the size limit of the e-mailserver, the message is left in the Outbox folder, and thedevice attempts to resend it periodically.
